Kindergarten - Kindergarten Islamic Studies Objectives
Grades 1st-5th At
Darul Arqam, Islamic Studies is one of the most important subjects that
we teach. It aims to build a strong Muslim student population with
strong morals and values that will produce young men and women who will
succeed in this Life and in the Hereafter.
Objectives: The Islamic Studies department strives to insure that students will:
- understand the basic Islamic Creed
- learn and practice the Five Pillars of Islam
- learn andpractice the tenants of Islamic Belief
- learn and maintain the Islamic standards of cleanliness
- learn and demonstrate the Islamic standard of mannerism and behavior
- learn the meanings of the Prophetic sayings and Quranic verses
- learn, understand, and implement the lessons from "Biography of the Prophets"
- learn, understand, and implement the lessons from "Biography of Prophet Muhammad (saaws)"
- learn how to obtain information and write research papers by utilizing technology
- utilize reading, writing, and strategy skills
Grades 6th-8th Objectives: The Islamic Studies department strives to insure that students will:
- learn and demonstrate the understanding of the Islamic Creed in details with all its branches
- learn and understand the Principles and Conditions of Islamic rulings about the Five Pillars of Islam
- learn and demonstrate the complete understanding of the Principle Tenets of the Islamic belief
- study
the sayings of Prophet Muhammad 9saaws) in depth and learn how to
implement the lessons and teachings of Prophet Muhammad (saaws) in
their own lives
- learn the meanings of the Quranic verses, and
demonstrate the application of the teachings and lessons of the Quran
in their own lives
- learn the reasons of the revelation of different verses and how to use the understandings in present-day context
- learn and demonstrate the knowledge of the Islamic rulings about cleanliness, mannerism, etiquettes, and behaviors
- learn and demonstrate the knowledge of the Islamic rulings on clothing, food, social behavior, and gender relationships
- learn and demonstrate the skill of obtaining information and write research papers
- utilize reading, writing, and strategy skills
- learn the lessons from "Biography of the Prophets" including the "Biography of Prophet Muhammad (saaws)", and implement the teachings from the lessons in their own lives.
